Implausible design/architecture and scale. I donāt believe anyone would go in so much lengths to build this so cleanly in this style just for few likes on a shitpost (although, I admit some people are crazy committed) Prompting an AI is easier and cheaper. So, most likely AI slop.
For me itās a bit too perfect. A human could definitely have achieved the same result, but Iām not sure someone who would spend this much time perfecting an image like that would add the glow on the floor that seemingly comes from nowhere with no purpose.
I agree with you, detecting AI slop is becoming extremely hard for me. Sometimes, like in this example, you can ask for what purpose something was done. Why is the underglow in there, and where does the light come from? A human staring at this image for at least a handful of hours would have made decisions about it, someone generating the image wouldnāt really think about it and just go āeh looks coolā.
For me itās because it looks too much like a headphone. If you look at the seat, it basically has the headphone controls on it which makes no sense.
If a human was to make this, it would be a toilet that looks like a bose headphone. But instead it looks like headphone components morphed into a toilet.
I wasnāt sure, so I checked the comments. My suspicions where raised because it seemed like a lot of image editing effort for the joke and also the glass looked wrong-ish.
also, to hell with this AI slop shit. All memes now should include a second pane that includes the process workflow, including Photoshop/GIMP layers if applicable. I want to see your work!
Thatās why this is an intentionally terrible crop of an otherwise very popular and well-known meme.
Buddy, Iāve been doing graphic design like this for over 30 years. In my head, Iām setting everything on fire every time I create a new layer in Photoshop, lol. But thatās in my head, not in reality, because I do it myself rather than with AI.
Edit: what teeny-weenie asshole thought that this comment was enough to downvote this? Lol.
Go on then. Do that. Iād like to see one done that is believable when examined closely enough.
Iāll believe it when I see it. And, of course, show your workflow. I donāt want you taking some screenshot of Photoshop from your own desktop or from Google images and claiming that it was AI in some absurdly ironic move.
Thatās an overreaction. Especially considering this person is professing to be anti-ai. Why would they want to use it to prove it works to some rando?
Didnāt think Iād be giving useful advice in a shitpost, but you can actually replace the foam pad of a BOSE headset. Iāve done it before, and it made it a lot nicer for the forseeable future.
Look guys, I hate slop as much as the next commenter, but maybe if we overwhelmed the image market with shitposts that damaged IP and brands reputation theyād be forced to regulate copyrighted material use so these fuckers canāt steal shit and put out slop?
Padded seats seemed to be kind of common in the 80s. I havenāt really seen them since.
Edit: wait that link is weird. They were like regular toilet seats that you could swing up or down to raise and lower. In that link it looks like they are (semi)permanently attached to the porcelain? The ones Iām talking about were not like that.
Oh wait. Right. Those were a different thing though. Those were like removable covers. I think they had like an elastic on the bottom, kind of like a fitted sheet. So you could remove and wash them.
The ones Iām thinking of were more like OP or the parent comment. It was like a vinyl, with some padding inside. So not machine washable, but you could wipe it down.
Still, one crack or tear in the vinyl and who knows what starts growing inside one of those padded seats? Maybe Iām being unreasonable, but even as a child of the 80s those seats always gave me the ick. (Of course, thatās not how I would have said it then.)
The master bath in my childhood home is carpeted, and when I was a child we also had those carpet-like removable lid covers with the elastic underneath.
Itād be really uncomfortable to use. Itād be like sitting on headphones, but with more texture. Doing your business on that would be pretty unpleasant.
It would become REALLY unpleasant once the āpleatheretteā coating on the seat starts to disintegrate and stick to your skin, like the ear cushions do.
For the premium prices they charge for their kit, Bose plastics break down pretty damn quick.
Iāve got a pair of Denon cans (AH-D210s) from 1998 with cords that are as supple and nice as the day they were bought (ofc the pads have been replaced multiple times since the foam always goes flat first) and the plastic on my Bose earbud wires disintegrated within 18 months.. Color me unimpressed.
Ugh, that sounds awful. My headphones always break down before I can replace them, so I really hope that doesnāt happen with these ones. Itās ridiculous that Bose products can deteriorate so quickly, especially considering how expensive they are. As always, AI is making strange pictures :P
How do you guys know itās slop? Iām kinda bad at recognizing

Itās getting much harder to tell, for me itās like somebody put the smoothness on max, like itās too polished.
Slop always kinda has an uncanny look to it to me
I wasnāt sure, so I checked the comments. My suspicions where raised because it seemed like a lot of image editing effort for the joke and also the glass looked wrong-ish.
Oh yeah, that glass typically has 2 panels for sliding
Sometimes they donāt, happened in my hotel room once. Water just got on the floor for no reason and the drain was slow
Unslopped
This one makes less sense though given that Bose is THE brand known for ANC. Does Logitech do ANC too?
What makes you think they donāt? Any serious brand selling headsets has products with this feature.
Wow! A silent shitpost.
I dont want noise cancelling, I want bass boosted

Alright cowboy you got it
Perfect, not one flaw. Super Intelligence indeed! dontlooktooclose
You wasted resources on removing the glow and adding something I couldāve done in Paint. Good job.
A critique! Even more than I had hoped for!
Just imagine setting a tree on fire every time you generate one of those images.

Art requires sacrifice
Good thing this isnāt art tho or Iād feel bad about flushing all that water down the noise cancelling toilet
Now THATāS what I call a workflow
lol
āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø
You can just AI generate the Photoshop GUI with whatever layers you want. That wouldnāt really prove anything.
Go on then. Do that. Iād like to see one done that is believable when examined closely enough.

I said you can. I certainly canāt use this newfangled AI stuff.
Professing such ignorance after making such a specific accusation is extremely obvious bad faith bullshit.
And with such Trumpian weasel-wordplayā¦
Thatās an overreaction. Especially considering this person is professing to be anti-ai. Why would they want to use it to prove it works to some rando?
A little sensitive and defensive for someone who canāt prove their position.ā¦
Thatās inherently implying that I would, which is extremely insulting considering everything I just said.
Maybe you can, but a reasonable person wouldnāt
Lucky for you Iām not reasonable
Sorry, I canāt hear you over the sound of my ass flushing (or whatever is happening in this meme)
Right assed only toilet?
Or there is a left toilet right next to it?
This is for the right cheek. You get another for the left cheek. This positions the hole between them, which means you poop on the floor.
LOL! I gotta say you must have a magnificently large, stout ass to use such donut seats for each cheek!
Goodness, the mind boggles!
I did not come here to be body-shamed!
āMagnificenlyā would not be a word Iād associate with shame, my gloriously endowed friend!
LOL!
That cushion would get disgusting after a few months
Itās machine washable
And youāre the machine

I prefer the original, shitty version from many years ago
Imagine a toilet so far from anyone that no matter what you do to it you will be the only witness.
Now donāt move there because I called it.
that toilet seat looks comfy ngl
Until the padding material starts to dissolve.

Yes
Iāve honestly thought that taking the visible impact of copyright infringement
(and turning it up to eleven and keeping it there,)
might eventually create pressure from corporations on governments for the regulation of unrestricted use of AI to generate images
there are so many ways the monkeyās paw can curl in this scenario
Donāt slop believingā¦
Japan really has thought of everything now, havenāt they?
Their toilets do play sounds and music to cancel out those other sounds
ziiiinnnnnnggggg
Padded seats do exist:

What confuses me most is the travel case.
Padded seats seemed to be kind of common in the 80s. I havenāt really seen them since.

I recall this!
Worse, not just padded, but made from something between a towel and fluffy carpet.
Iām sure it would have absorbed everything!
Oh wait. Right. Those were a different thing though. Those were like removable covers. I think they had like an elastic on the bottom, kind of like a fitted sheet. So you could remove and wash them.

just imagine the squish of accumulated liquids being forced out through tiny cracks every time you sit down on a covered sponge.
Dude, this isnāt a new idea. My grandmaās place had a padded seat like this and that was in the 90s.
Your grandmaās place was wild.
Good times.
Yeah, at grandmaās house in the 90ās

I havenāt sat on a cushioned toilet seat in a long time
I hate padded seats, gross.
Try spinning, thatās a neat trick!
