This lamp by OSRAM uses the LEDVANCE trademark, implying it is an LED replacement for fluorescent tubes. I repair LED bulbs (and tubes but broken ones are still rare) as a hobby, and while going through bins I have to avoid fluorescent ones (even CFLs in fancy globes). Welp, there goes my yet-flawless way to tell: "if it says LED, it's LED". I really need to shine through most of them! Shining a light through this one reveals nothing inside but a heated electrode at either end (aside the phosphor coating, and a gas mixture including a little mercury vapor), the normal components of an FL tube. LED tubes would include a driver and an LED strip (and usually a PTC at the other end). I mainly use the method to reveal the kinky or twisty tube of "sneaky" CFLs with milky balls.
We were prepping a Jennie-O frozen turkey breast and found a ‘gravy starter’ tucked inside. Reviewing the many ingredients, we decided it wasn’t anything we’d use; nothing is easier than making gravy (drippings+corn starch+water=voila!). What ticks me off is that it added quite a bit of weight to the package so we paid extra $ for something we didn’t ask for and don't want. Guess we'll have to pay closer attention to the labels going forward and won't be buying that brand either.

Walmart near me has started using receipt checkers lately and they don't even really do their job, it's kind of a gimmick really. They just look at the receipt for a second Don't even look at your cart, but they stop you every time. It's just such a waste of my time when I'm in a hurry. I had one person even tell me that it was required by law. No it's not! There's no law in the USA that says they have to check your receipt.
And I'm sure it's annoying you too. You can't view a single YouTube video anymore anywhere one is posted, without that stupid notification popping up. Which forces you to have to go to the shitty YouTube site, log in, hope through whatever verification checks that there is and finally, you can watch the video.

I like Firefox as my preferred mobile browser, so I pit their search widget on my home screen. But every time I reboot my phone, it removes the widget. It can take a couple attempts before it shows up again in the widget selection screen too.
The only time my neighbor starts a fire in their back yard is when there is a red flag fire warning. We don't have many of these warnings per year, like one or two. The news of the tragic death of Gene Hackman (RIP!) reminded me that even tho I had always wanted to watch it, I had never seen the French Connection. I did a web search to find out who was streaming it, and I noticed in the search results that archive.org had it on their site. Just Watch said on their site that Amazon Prime could stream it for free. My wife has a Prime account, so I made a mental note and decided to go to Archive.org and watch it there since I'm sitting at my computer. It loads up and starts playing, no problems, and then at about 10 minutes in, my browser throws an error, and Voila! just like that the video is gone, suddenly no longer available. I get immediately suspicious and log in to Prime, and no, in fact, I cannot stream it for free, but I can rent it for $3.99. Nobody on this planet can convince me that Amazon's greed didn't have something to do with it getting yanked from Archive.org...
Okay so a friend convinced me to donate blood so I went there today and all of my vitals were fine but I had to fill out a form and while I was doing that I started seeing weird shapes and then everything went black.
This is not my PC, it's my work PC (which is worse). If it were up to me, I would do everything with FOSS, but it is mandatory to use Adobe, which has been getting worse day after day.
