As a long fan of the franchise, i was excited to buy it, but just before the launche they annouced than the saudi arabia fund was buying part of the EA shares, them I said “fuck it”.

Now I migrate my pc to Linux so I wouldn’t buy this game even i if wanted.

lol, smart choice dear fraternal penguin.

For real, fuck Kushner. Given the anti-cheat is basically malware, there was no way I was going to install something from that cunts company.

Stop giving EA money

Still haven’t purchased. Saw all the comments about none of the maps being large maps, which is what Battlefield is all about, so decided to hold off. Generally speaking, BF has become a bargain bin purchase for me. Usually pick them up a few years down the road.

has anyone tried the battle royale recently?

Not recently. Friends stopped playing so I did. Right before I stopped they had introduced this poisonous gas you could find in chests and the area of effect was unbelievably absurd. Large swaths of the map getting covered in harmful gas you couldn’t see through. Really bad design choice.

“Games cost more to make… tho they generate a shitload of money XD” - EA

And players, myself included, abandoned it quicker than any other game in the series.

currently playing battlefield 1 with no plan to change that

Totally because the game is good and not because they laid off shitloads of people.

Laying people off doesn’t increase revenue.
