As one cannot view Twitter without an account there, I sort of tend to assume everybody have left it by now. It's crazy to me that this is not the case.

Are you aware that more than half of American voters just placed a self described fascist with progressive dementia in charge of their country? I think you may need to recalibrate your assumptions about human behavior.

Not to be pedantic, but more than 3/4 of US voters "voted" for the orange chucklefuck. The ones that did vote for him and the ones that didn't vote at all.

All part of the candidate pool for active Twitter accounts.

Thats the opposite of pedantic because itโ€™s just factually wrong.

The three comments or retweets or whatever the fuck they are that kissed are the exact people I expected to still be on Twitter.

You can browse Twitter content here on the fediverse on Mastodon. Just find an instance that supports bird.makeup

To the people getting butthurt: for some people this is a real necessity. I live in a region with many natural disasters, and Twitter is the place I used to go to get weather updates. I don't use Twitter anymore, but I'd also rather not die. So I'll use bird.makeup instead.

You can browse Twitter content here on the fediverse on Mastodon.

No, I don't think I will.

You generally can view a post w/o an account, just no comments associated with that post.

Great to hear. I wish more organizations would do this.

Slowly, they will do. Every new one that does and gets media attention pulls others to do the same

If "X"ubuntu and guys with usernames like theimpressiveX can leave X, you can too!

Hey, we abandoned the platform, not the letter!

Good, hope more find their balls and ditch the Nazi too.

Yeah, I left that app about year ago. It's trash.

Anyone that still uses twitter needs help

this but unironically. send them resources on how to transition smoothly to the fediverse.

I'd honestly accept them moving to blue-fucking-sky.

Anything is better than the current state of Xitter.

Every time I see one of these posts about an OSS project finally moving off Twitter, I have this same baffled reaction: why the fuck were they still using itโ€ฝ

The discussion has gotten completely off-topic. I'll lock the the thread until the moderators (@anzo@programming.dev @dwraf_of_ignorance@programming.dev) starts responding to reports.

Wut

This gent is a fascist (but refuses to admit it, too much of a coward to say what they are out in the open) and so every time someone in the Foss community engages in any act that is opposed to fascism, You'll see them concern trolling on the thread.

Lots of defending Facebook and Xitter because those sites keep them filthy gays in their place.

16

And here I thought infosec.pub was better than that :(

Methinks their cowardice in admitting to what they are is so they can skirt the instance's rules. Also lots of whining from them about "biased modding" because fediverse administration won't accept out-and-proud fascism (not in decent instances that people actually want to use, anyway). I imagine this is like their third or fourth alt account after getting their shit kicked in, for being correctly identified as a fascist.

I have determined that you're not just a religious nut, but a full bird right-wing nut job, enjoy your tag!

16

Backseat modding is fine too

Nobody wants you here, fascist. Go back to gargling Elon Musk's balls on Xitter.

It's amazing how you can be wrong in so many ways in just one sentence.

Twitter is pro-religion? What kind? Satanism? Muslim? Hindu? Oh! Buddhist! Elon's clearly a Buddhist.

11

Run by an open fascist who actively and proudly boosted the Trump campaign = Pro christianity, d'uh.

This guy's a specialist in saying the quiet part out loud, tbqh.

God doesn't exist. God logically, provably, observationally, and theoretically doesn't exist. What do you like about religion, anyway? The hate? The lies? The violence?

10

The excuse to shit on people not like themselves and pretend it is "righteous" and "Not toxic", I imagine

It's what most religious concern trolls love about it anyway. Plus in another post they said "religion is an example of non-toxic anti-lgbt" which is like. VERY telling of how they think.

Religious folks who aren't in it for the excuse to be hateful? You will find them at like. The temple. Or some church-bound charity op. As opposed to hanging out in social media starting shit with people.

Please follow our Code of Conduct when interacting with our instance.
Hate speech violates section 3.5 and in this instance is severe enough to lead directly to a temporary ban instead of the usual warning. Repeated offences may lead to a permanent ban.

@Corbin @GolfNovemberUniform and logically & scientifically, the BigBang was impossible to have happened without an outside trigger, and guess who/what were able to ignite that

Seems like this is a mastodon account so I don't think you can see it, but you're being downvoted right now.

You religious weirdos seem to have a knack for twisting science to suit your cult's dogma

Here why don't you watch some nice Kurzgesagt videos all about space and the big bang their stuff is considerably more factual than that 6000 year old fiction book you're reading

Lol It wasn't a secret, and religion is undeserving of respect, it's had thousands of years of that and how did "it" repay that "respect"?

Through numerous horrible atrocities all throughout history, from war done in "god's" name to rape, murder, slavery and subjugation of all kinds. Just to name a *few* things off the top of my head.
