Participate in Mastodon watch party with alternative like Sharkey, Mbin, Friendica?

My #Mastodon instance went weird during a watch party (#KungFuSat) so thinking of getting an alt account for emergencies

Probably a different Mastodon instance but now wondering: would a Sharkey, MBin or Friendica or some other type of account also be usable for Mastodon watch parties / live tooting? Could I even somehow use my NeoDB account for that?
