The biggest focus of the opinion piece was about money and jobs, with a vague offhanded comment about civil rights and the rights of women without saying what those things are.

rustyfishI had an ex who voted conservative because her dad told her to. She didn’t see a problem with it and got offended when I questioned her. My guess is, that as much as I hate the idea, the truth might be that there are a fuck ton of people voting a certain way because of shit similar to this.
Poor guy just gave up on reelection. Not enough democrats will see this to vote across party lines to make up for the amount of crazies in his party that will not only not vote for him, but quite possibly send him death threats. I live in rural Arizona, I would love a sane mayor.
