Anyone tried this? It seems to access the Lemmy and PieFed API to retrieve content.

From what I understand, you already do that right now. I do it to get @perfectdark@lemmy.world ‘s posts on awesome game stuff.

For example this community.

Although I do like the “preview” option on the website. Thats neat.

EDIT: I just realized who I was talking to. I feel very silly! Please disregard lol. Website preview looks cool either way.

It’s kind of funny ha ha

Apologies, I didn’t see this earlier. This is my project.

Yep, I’m accessing the Lemmy and PieFed APIs to create custom RSS feeds. My motivation for creating this is that I prefer to interact with social aggregation websites in a low-volume way, so I let Upvote RSS surface the most popular posts for the communities I’m interested in. It adds posts to the generated RSS feeds with score thresholds, adding post content, comments, linked article contents/summaries, and more. You’ve linked to the public instance, but the project is meant to be used mainly self-hosted, so I’ve got a GitHub repo with more details on that.

Thanks for all the work you do to bring this place to life!

FYI I’ve just added a score parameter to the community RSS feeds so you can get a RSS feed of posts at or above that score. e.g. https://piefed.social/community/fediverse/feed?score=20

Awesome, that’s a great addition!

Nice to see you here!

Thanks! PieFed seems to me to probably be the friendliest and most welcoming of these platforms. It’s nice here.

It’s definitely quite nice!
