Explanation: When the country of Libya under the dictator Muammar Gaddafi
invaded the country of Chad, Chad was at a distinct disadvantage. Libya had the well-funded army of a petrostate, complete with modern armored fighting vehicles and an air force, while Chad had… militia and civilian vehicles.

However, innovative use of their available resources turned what looked to be a curb-stomp into a humiliating defeat for the Libyan forces - the widespread use of pickup trucks with heavy weapons (like machineguns and anti-tank missiles - the latter helpfully provided by France, who, reasonably, hated Gaddafi’s guts) bolted into the truck’s bed resulted in Chad’s highly mobile forces inflicting massive damage on Libya’s armies, driving them out of Chad and resulting in a clear Chadian victory.

These makeshift weapons-platforms are called ‘Technicals’, and are still used by militia forces to this day, and the phase of the Chad-Libyan War which involved them is sometimes known, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, as the ’Toyota War’

My flag knowledge is terrible. I was wondering when Libya had beef with Romania.

Oh boy, it’s time to share my favorite poster!

Now do the cybertruck!

The Cybertruck will burn nicely shortly after it inevitably breaks down

“Oh, what a feeling.”
