Are those M-14s?
She’s holding an M1 Carbine, I’m pretty sure.
His gun doesn’t seem to have a butt stock, so not an M14 either. Hard to judge from that angle, maybe even a Thompson submachine gun?
Or a mini-14. I’m glad we agree is American.
If the photograph really is from 1958, that gun would be 15 years too early.
