How is it so hard to believe that
A: China is not as bad as western media depicts/not much if at all worse than nations like the US; and
B: China is not actually communist and does some really fucked up shit like committing genocide against various social and ethnic groups, like the Uyghurs?

Imperialism, settler colonialism, and genocide are bad regardless of the purported ideology of the ones committing it. If your ideology allows for the destruction of entire peoples, it is a bad ideology.
