You know someone messed up when the Saudis feel obliged to defend Iran.

Saudi Arabia and Iran reconciled last year and restored relations, which among many things brought an end to Saudi Arabia's involvement in Yemen.

And we're going to kneel down and lick Netanyahu's boots. Whee.

The Taliban couldn't finish the job, someone has to. It looks like the job will fall on Arabs and Iranians, and possibly Turks too this time, to expel the US and its vile attack dog out of the region once and for all.

Which job?

Is this the US pulling favours to placate Iran?

Iran does not care for the opinion of Saudi

Mrkawfee a month ago

Normally not but since the start of the genocide the Saudis have started hedging their bets given how the US no longer has any credibility in the region.

Iran doesn't recognize Israel. Therefore, it was not a state that attacked them. If I go and commit a crime in another country (a crime according to that country) I'm not violating their sovereignty, because I'm not acting on behalf of a state, and I couldn't possibly be acting on behalf of a state that is not recognized to exist.

Wasn't Bin Laden a CIA asset during the 80s? Might be more curious to know why he was using the last dredges of the Operation Cyclone budget to bite the hand that fed him.

what about

Is this the illustrious "whataboutism" I always see Westerners talk about? No! it can't be! You must be a Russian troll! ;)

Saudi Arabia did not fund them, that's a lie. Osama bin Laden was already non-grata and had his citizenship revoked years before 2001. But he was still working with the CIA before 9/11.

Or Khashoggi?

Who was a CIA recruiter to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan.
