Elephants forming a circle to protect their children

I'm at work watching in silence. What were they protecting the babies from?

That laughing is irritating af.

It's unusual to see the word "children" used to refer to non-human animals. I think of myself as someone more concerned about animals than the average person is, but I'm still a little surprised at my own emotional response to that word.
